ONE Year Pictures

 A couple of weeks ago, Dustin and I welcomed an amazing photographer into our home to take Georgianne's one year pictures. She was incredible. She got some great snapshots of Georgianne. I was very nervous about having these done because we have not always had the best of luck with photographers. Except for her newborn pictures - which were phenomenal too! I found this awesome lady out of Memphis named Elizabeth Wiggs to take the pictures. Here are some of my favorite moments that she captured from the day.

Happy Birthday, Georgianne!

So, this post is about a month late but we have been very busy. Georgianne's birthday weekend was wonderful. I was so pleased with how the weekend turned out. Georgianne's birthday was on a Thursday this year. Dustin and I were so excited to wake Georgianne up. Georgianne was woken up with balloons all around her bed and her Daddy having a video camera in her face. She was so confused.

Georgianne and I had so much fun on her birthday. We went and had lunch with her daddy. (I took off work to spend the whole day with her) For dinner, some of our family joined us at our house. Currently, Georgianne's favorite food is spaghetti. So, we devoured to pans of spaghetti. And enjoyed birthday cake too!

 On Saturday, we had a "Winter ONEderland" Party for Georgianne! We had around 40 people in our house. It was a tight fit but it was great!

All in all, it was a perfect weekend! I still can't believe my little princess is ONE :) You are loved by so many people!

Christmas 2011

Ok, so I am not a blogger. But, I am going to try and do better in 2012. Let's just say that life is pretty busy around the Phelps' household :) Georgianne is 11 months old! I can not believe that my sweet girl will be in 1 in just a few short days. I will save that post for another day :)

First Tooth....

Well, the time has come. Georgianne is officially cutting teeth and it is awful. Not only is she getting her first tooth but also her first ear infection. It breaks my heart that she is in so much pain. However, we had a GREAT weekend. My mom and David came for the weekend. Dustin and I took GGP and David to the Zoo on Saturday. It was a beautiful Saturday for the Zoo.

David really enjoyed the zoo. I think his favorite part of the zoo was the Polar Bears. Dustin took an awesome picture of David look at a polar bear.

I promise, that is a real Polar Bear. After the zoo, we went back to the house and hung out with KK. Mom was such a great mother and did all of our laundry and cleaned our junk closet. I really should have taken a before and after picture of the closet. Needless to say, my Mom is amazing.

We also celebrated Georgianne's 7 month birthday! I can not believe my little baby is 7 months old. My heart is overwhelmed with JOY that is all contributed to Georgianne.

Hopefully my next post will have a picture of Georgianne with her new tooth :)

Exhausted...

For the past three weeks, exhausted is the only words that come to my mind. I am trying to balance a new job, being a wife and mother. It is truly hard work. But, luckily God has blessed me with a wonderful husband. Dustin has definitely picked up my slack. But, things are looking up :) I have spent a lot more time at home this week with my family.

Tomorrow, Georgianne will be 7 months old. Last night, Dustin and I were playing with her on the bed and she made her FIRST CRAWL towards the remote. She has been "scooting" backwards for a couple of weeks now but she definitely was moving frontwards using both her arms and legs. She is growing SO fast. I did not think she would be crawling this soon.

I am looking forward to a FUN weekend. Today is our dear friend Ben's birthday. So we are going to celebrate with him tonight! Then tomorrow, my mom and David are coming to town. It has been almost one month since my mom has seen Georgianne. She is definitely in for a treat when she sees how much she has grown in the past month. Happy 6 months, Georgianne

Dear Georgianne,

This week you turned 6 months old. You have brought so much joy to my life. I never knew that my heart could love someone as much as I love you. The moment your father and I found out that we were going to have a baby was the best day of my life. I remember that I was on my way to Jackson to meet your GG and Aunt Cat to paint Aunt Cat's new apartment in Nashville. I was not feeling good at all. I really didn't think you were already apart of me but I bought a test to just see if you might be. I remember crying tears of joy in the bathroom at Burger King realizing that my dream was finally going to come true, I was a MOM! I told your dad the good news over text message because I was in the car with GG and Aunt Cat. He was so excited and could not wait to see me (and you). From that moment, I starting praying for you and loving you. I love everything about you from your beautiful eyes to your big feet. You are the perfect combination of your father and me. Everyone tells me that you look like your Dad but I can definitely see me in you as well. I look forward to raising you as my daughter and best friend. You truly are a gift from Above and I thank GOD every day for allowing me to be your mother. I love you to the moon and back.

Beach 2011

The Annual Phelps' Beach Trip is the highlight of the summer! I always look forward to the beach especially this year because my family joined the trip! We left for the beach after church, July 10th. Everyone thought we were crazy we all went in one car (except my mom, sister, and David). BUT, that still left Keith, Grace, Catherine, John, Dustin, Georgianne, and me in ONE vehicle! I really wish we would have taken a picture of the car. Georgianne did great during the ride down there. We stopped to buy her a portable DVD player and once we had that - she was ready! It took us between 9 and 10 hours to arrive to Perdido, Florida. 

The next morning, we hit the beach! I was so excited to put GGP's TOES in the sand!

She actually loved it! We sat in that chair for a few minutes and just let the waves come up over her feet!

Having my mom, sister, and David a couple of miles away was a great treat! Dustin, Ann, and I took David to the water park and he LOVED it! I really wish I had pictures from the water park but I was too scared to take my camera. David rode all the slides even the BIG ones! He was such a trooper! 

One very interesting activity that we did was catch blue crabs! Dustin and Keith set out a trap each morning and we checked it two time per day. Catherine named one crab Henry. 

 By the end of the week, we caught 6 crabs. On our last night, we had a crab boil. *Grace and I really wanted to let the crabs go, but we got out voted*

The last day, we went to take pictures - of course it rained! But, it is something that Grace always looks forward to!

The trip was full of family, laughter, and love! I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family!
